EMPOWERING SMALL SCALE FARMERS IS THE KEY TO SAVING THESE CHILDREN
Chef Kone Abdoulaye, founder of IAA knows firsthand what it is to grow up in poverty. Born in Yamoussoukro (Cote D’Ivoire) among poor farmers, he saw what the lack of food and opportunity was doing to his country. His conviction to break the cycle of poverty led him to become a very successful executive chef with a resume representing his successes at the famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Blue Door at the Delano Hotel in South Beach Miami.
Knowing that these opportunities are rare for the children in Africa, he is passionate that every child should be given the opportunity to reach his God given potential. In Cote D’Ivoire, agriculture leads the way for such opportunities and that is the goal IAA for the children and families in Cote D’Ivoire.
